Website test requests and optional emails

If you submit the website form, we collect your adult email address, optional first name, whether you have an Android device, and your confirmation that you are a parent or guardian aged 18 or over. We use these details to review your request and contact you about testing. Please do not send a child’s name or personal details.

The money-teaching newsletter and the official launch announcement are two separate, optional choices. Neither is preselected or required for testing. We record each choice, its timestamp, and the wording version separately in Supabase. An unchecked box does not subscribe you to that email category. Submitting again does not cancel an existing subscription; contact the support address above to withdraw a choice or request deletion.

Supabase processes website form submissions on our behalf. Public website visitors cannot read the request database. To reduce automated submissions, the service temporarily retains salted hashes derived from an email address and, when provided by the hosting platform, the network address. It does not store a raw network address in the form database. Hosting providers may also process connection information in their own service logs.

The form records email preferences; it does not send newsletters or launch announcements automatically. Before we activate those emails, we will confirm control of the email address, provide an unsubscribe method, and identify the email delivery provider here. Until then, only testing follow-up should be sent. We review and remove requests when no longer needed; support can delete a request on demand. The app’s local family ledger is separate from this website database.

The app: the short version

Growise is a family education app. It uses fictional GrowPoints (GP) to help children practise earning, saving, spending, borrowing, and investing. It is not a bank, payment service, investment service, or real-money account. The Growise cards, card numbers, interest, investment returns, exchange rates, and GP balances are simulations only.

There are no ads, no advertising identifiers, no real banking integration, no Growise accounts, and no child login. The app is designed for a parent and child using the same device during this invite-only Android beta.

Information kept on your device

The family information a parent enters in Growise stays in the app’s local storage on that Android device. This can include child profile names, chores, rewards, goals, fictional GP activity and balances, simulated card activity, and parent settings. The publisher does not receive this local family ledger.

The parent PIN is stored separately in the device’s secure storage rather than in the ordinary local family ledger.

Growise disables Android cloud and device-transfer backups for its local data. If the app is removed, app storage is cleared, or the device is lost or reset, local family information may not be recoverable. Growise does not currently provide an online account or cloud synchronisation service.

Android screen protection

While Growise is open, it asks Android to block screenshots, screen recording, casting, and the recent-apps preview. This helps reduce accidental exposure of family information, but cannot prevent someone from photographing a screen with another device.

Optional anonymous product analytics

Optional analytics are off by default. Only a parent can enable them in Bank → Privacy and feedback. If the parent does not opt in, no product-use analytics are sent.

If a parent opts in and the beta build has a configured collection endpoint, Growise sends only the event name, calendar day rounded to UTC, a random family token, language, platform, and app release over HTTPS to a Cloudflare Worker operated for the publisher.

The only event names are consentEnabled, appOpened, onboardingCompleted, firstChoreCreated, firstGrowPointsEarned, firstSavingsMove, and firstShopRequest.

These events do not include parent or child names, chores, rewards, goals, free-text feedback, GP amounts or balances, card details, PINs, locations, advertising identifiers, or real financial information.

The optional analytics records are used only in aggregate product reports and are retained for no more than three months. A parent can turn analytics off at any time. Turning it off stops new analytics from being sent and clears the local random pilot code. It does not remove anonymous events already received and aggregated before the switch was turned off.

If the beta build has no configured collection endpoint, enabling the switch does not send information off the device.

How information is shared

Growise does not sell or rent information, use advertising networks, or share the local family ledger with the publisher. The app’s optional analytics and the website’s adult test-request form are separate external data flows described above. Cloudflare processes app analytics requests; Supabase processes website form submissions.

Android, Google Play, and a device manufacturer may handle information under their own terms and privacy policies when you install or use an Android app. This policy describes Growise’s own app data practices.

Children and parents

Growise has no child account, child login, direct messaging, or social features. A parent sets up the app, controls the optional analytics choice, and supervises a child’s use. We do not knowingly collect a child’s personal information through the optional analytics events.

If you contact support, please do not send child names, PINs, card-like numbers, exact GP balances, or screenshots containing personal details unless we specifically ask for the minimum information needed to help with a problem.

Changes and questions

We may update this policy as the beta changes. We will publish the current version at this URL and update its effective date. For questions about this policy or the beta, contact pervasive.dev@gmail.com.
